How I look after
your details.

Who I am
This site is run by Matthew Kayode, a photographer based in London. You can reach me at hello@matthewkayode.com.
What I collect
The details you send through the contact form or by email, such as your name, email address, phone number and event details. If you book, I also keep invoice and payment records.
Why
To reply to your enquiry, arrange and deliver your shoot, send invoices and keep the records tax rules require.
Why I can use your data
To reply to your enquiry and arrange a booking, I rely on it being necessary to take steps towards a contract with you. For invoice and tax records, I rely on a legal obligation. For using photos in my portfolio, I rely on my legitimate interest in showing my work, and you can object at any time.
Who sees it
Only me and the services I use to run my work, such as Squarespace, Google and file transfer tools. Your details are never sold or shared with third parties for marketing.
Where your data goes
Some of the services I use, such as Squarespace and Google, may store data outside the UK, for example in the US, under recognised safeguards.
How long I keep it
Enquiries that don't lead to a booking are deleted after 12 months. Booking and invoice records are kept for as long as UK tax rules require.
Photos
Images from your shoot may be used in my portfolio and on social media. If you'd prefer I didn't, tell me and I'll leave them out or remove them.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, delete or restrict the data I hold about you, object to how I use it, or ask for a copy to take elsewhere. Email me at hello@matthewkayode.com and I'll respond within one month. If you're unhappy with how your data is handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
